  • After Effects Keyboard Shortcuts – Next Frame / Previous Frame

Posted on April 30th, 2008 whodeee 11 comments

I finally got fed up and wanted to find the shortcut key for the next and previous frame in After Effects.  I googled it and came up with a useful blog

The shortcuts for next and previous frames are the “Page Up” and “Page Down” buttons.

    Thanks Greasy PC!

    1. Thanks bro!
      You save my live!

    2. Thanks for the tip, I was half-way through my first word with “Write-on” and was starting to get frustrated. I tried a bunch of keys that I thought would work (like [ and ]) but was starting to mess up my project. Google brought me to you :)

      Thanks again,
      Aaron

    3. Ctrl + Left and Right Arrows do the same (in CS4).

    4. Awesome, works like a charm.

    5. Thanks, i forgot this :D
Need it for time remapping :D
Without that hotkey i didn’t reached it :D

    6. Stupid but necessary!!
      1000 thanks!

    7. Hurray!
Why every program uses different shortcuts for the same actions will always remain a mystery. But at least page up/dwn and ctrl+left and right arrows work in AE!

    8. Shift Page Up/Down advances 10 frames.
I use this all the time.

    9. Thanks Bro

    10. For those of us working on Macbook’s (without the num pad – meaning no Page Up/Down keys), Command + Right/Left Arrow keys advances one frame right or left.

      Cheers!

    11. Let God pour some blessing on you man :)
